How our customers styled their way through HK's hottest summer yet

It was the hottest summer that any of us could ever remember, just quickly after 3 years of remote working. Our customers all seemed to be gravitating towards something light and airy to wear to work, or just something to leave the house in comfortable. For many, shopping whatever happened to be in retail stores wasn't a great option. For one of our customers, we hand-delivered her purchase to her, right before her plane took off for her European summer adventure.

Enter the thrifted dress - the ultimate style savior for the hottest season of the year. These dresses were salvaged pieces from older trends, and yet were made from lightweight fabrics that allow you to stay cool and comfortable, making it a timeless staple.

Sure, thrifted items are cheaper than what you'll find in a store online - but there is more to it than that. When we met our customers in person, and told them we're actually selling thrifted items, sourcing responsibly from existing thrift stores' leftover inventory, they all felt a unique excitement to make a statement about a commitment to sustainability. Fast fashion is one of the biggest polluters in the world, and for one of our customers, 'it is nice when doing your part to reduce waste and cut down on your carbon footprint is made easy.'

So whether you're hitting the beach, lounging by the pool, or just trying to survive the Hong Kong heatwave, a thrifted dress is the perfect choice. It's chic, affordable, and eco-friendly - what more could you want? Get ready to turn heads in your new favourite #salvaged summer staple.
